About this Course

Apache HBase is an open-sourced distributed database, the scalable, non-relational, NoSQL big data store that runs on Hadoop cluster and written in java. HBase stores a large amount of data from terabyte to petabyte and host large tables with billions of rows & columns and provides real time read-write access to Hadoop data.

HBase is built for low latency operations and has some specific features over the traditional models. Apache HBase is used extensively from random read & write operations, provides linear & modular scalability, automatic and configurable shading of tables, failover support, provide block cache and bloom filters for real time queries and store unstructured or semi- structure data.
