Batch Determination | SAP WM

Batch Determination in SAP is used to select batches and to allocate each batch in the manufacturing or outbound delivery of goods transfer in inventory management. In SAP WM, it can be used if a batch has not already been specified in the preceding document. But if a batch is already specified, the system ignores the batch determination strategies.

In SAP WM, Batch Determination is used in the following cases:

1. If optimum stock removal strategy takes precedence over other factors.
2. If the criteria for determining batches is relatively general.
