Breakdown Maintenance | SAP PM

Breakdown Maintenance in SAP PM is nothing but a breakdown of the equipment or machinery. In this stage, no planning is involved and the scheduling, execution and completion are the activities involved in this order type. It is a very important parameter in manufacturing industries to reduce the downtime of the equipment. The Order Type used in Breakdown Maintenance is PM02.

The following steps are to be performed in Breakdown Maintenance1:

1. Create Notification – IW21

2. Change Notification - IW22

3. Create a Maintenance Order with reference to Notification – IW22

4. Release the Maintenance Order – IW32

5. Confirmation of the Maintenance Order – IW41

6. Technically Completion of the Maintenance Order – IW32

7. Actual Over Hear Calculation – KGI2
