HTML or Hyper Text Markup Language is a scripting language used primarily for creating the web pages of a website. Though HTML has been serving its purpose for many years, with the introduction of HTML5, which is an advanced and newer version of HTML, has introduced several new elements, attributes, and behaviors which allows users to make more powerful websites and applications. Some of the key features used in HTML5 include; (i) simpler DOCTYPE declaration (ii) newer semantic elements like header, footer etc. (iii) new form and graphic elements (iv) new multi-media elements like audio, source, track, video; and a host of many other features. In addition to it and combining with JavaScript and CSS3, HTML5 also allows its users to Drag and Drop, Geolocation, Application Cache, Web Workers, SSE which makes it one of the most advanced versions of HTML and a scripting language a paradise for developers and designers.
CSS or Cascading Style Sheet 3 is the latest version of CSS which is used as a style sheet language for the overall look and formatting of the document written in a markup language. In simpler terms, it is used to style and organize the layout of the web pages for any website. CSS3 has introduced a number of Modules in comparison to its earlier version which is CSS2. Some of these modules include; (i) Box model (ii) Image values and replaced content (iii) Text effects (iv)Animations (v) 2D/3D transformations etc.
