SAS Energy Forecasting Solution: Introduction
This course is one of multiple planned courses related to SAS Energy Forecasting, and the focus is on load forecasting and modeling concepts. The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the utility load forecasting challenge, the details of the forecasts and modeling in SAS Energy Forecasting, and the specific features relevant to the industry, such as probabilistic long-term forecasts and multiple types of hierarchies needed in the modeling of electric utility loads.The course does not cover solution details such as the solution data model, solution user interface, implementation and delivery, or working in SAS Viya. The primary objective of this course is to provide students with a deeper understanding of utility load forecasting and modeling concepts involved in the different utility decisioning time frames.
